Overview
About Isaiah Boyd
I represent and advise nonprofit and for-profit developers and owners nationwide in the acquisition, rehabilitation, and preservation of multifamily affordable housing. My practice focuses on transaction and regulatory matters involving:
- Section 8 renewals and assignments
- FHA-insured or HUD-held mortgages
- Transfers of ownership
- Changes in management
Prior to joining the firm, I served as legislative counsel to the District of Columbia City Council, drafting legislation pertaining to affordable housing finance and preservation as well as tax increment financing for community development. While a student at Georgetown University law School, I served as a law clerk with the Office of Legal Counsel for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of the Inspector General, reviewing Public Housing Agencies compliance with community development block grants and physical condition standards.
